Articulating your message

Viva’s work with vulnerable children is inspiring and its model is impressive, but - like many organisations - Viva has sometimes struggled to express this in a concise and comprehensible way.

Chief Executive Mark Stavers commissioned me to come up with a new strapline and identity statement for the charity.

Working to his brief, I produced this wording, which has been adopted and will appear on the charity’s new website when it is launched:

Viva is passionate about releasing children from poverty and abuse worldwide.’

We are a global movement of Christians united in our determination to do whatever it takes to release children from poverty and abuse. Together we can help children in some of the world’s poorest countries to grow up safe, well and able to fulfil their God-given potential.’

Mark also asked me to capture and explore the charity’s distinctives in a longer piece, intended for sharing with corporates, major donors and foundations, which you can read here

Sometimes an organisation needs someone with fresh eyes and a different perspective to find the right words to express its heart, vision or mission.
